Functional Anatomy for the Strength Coach

$274.50 / month for 2 months

Course Description:

This course will cover the relevant anatomy of the major muscle groups and joints that are involved in the barbell lifts. At completion, students will be able to visualize and name the bones and muscles of the major joints – being familiar with the size, shape, attachment points (origin/insertion), direction of fibers, and role of the major muscle groups – as they pertain to the coaching toolbox for analyzing and correcting the lifts. Class discussions will place heavy emphasis on the role of the joints and muscles being studied in the compound lifting movements. Frequent assignments, quizzes and tests will challenge students to apply their growing anatomical knowledge throughout the course.
